Field Trips are an important part of the curriculum and educational development of each child.
Field Trips:
- help to make classroom content very concrete.
- provide the opportunity for students to learn different types of behavior in different cultural settings.
- enable students to interact with different adults and practice appropriate social skills.
- make learning fun while expanding some different content in each subject area.
In order to participate in Field Trips, all students must have a signed permission form for each Field Trip taken.
There are three different permission slips:
- for travel by car
- for travel by bus
- for travel by walking
If a child does not have a signed permission slip we are not allowed to permit that child to attend the Field Trip. Permission given verbally over the phone is not considered legal.
Parents, Guardians, and Grandparents are always welcome to attend Field Trips. Often parents, guardians, and grandparents are needed as volunteers to help drive the students to the Field Trip location. Forms will always indicate whether or not drivers are needed.
